At Ascend Fitness, we concentrate on physical fitness in the most direct and practical sense. We don’t seek to transform you into world class athletes (unless that’s what you want), but to help you gain strength, flexibility, agility, balance and endurance by way of reasonable and sustainable physical activity. We are all about the long game.
If an athlete trains for a sport, they must train in a specific way in order to optimally compete. At Ascend, we train you to physically thrive in daily life. Well programmed strength training, core work, speed drills, plyometrics, cardio, stretching and more are fundamental to human movement. Consistently performing these activities in Ascend’s classes will not only make you feel and look better, but you’ll sleep better, have more energy, reduce chances of injury and illness, and increase your health and quality of life in general.

Seamus Lynch Owner/Trainer
Seamus has his Lifetime Personal Training certification from the National Personal Training Institute and is a Certified Nutritional Consultant. He has 17 years experience as a personal trainer and has worked for various gyms including InShape, 24 Hour Fitness, Twin Arbors and various other employers. Seamus also ran his own private business - Home Fit Functional Fitness - providing in-home personal training services as well as owned and ran his own group fitness gym for 5 years. On a personal note, Seamus has a degree in philosophy and loves to read, learn and voice his opinion.
Hollie Shorts Owner/Trainer
Hollie has a Personal Training Certification from the National Council of Strength and Fitness and is Precision Nutrition Level 1 Certified. She has 5 years experience as a personal trainer and has worked for various gyms including 24 Hour Fitness, Twin Arbors, Curves and Jazzercise over a 20 year time span. Through her fitness journey she has lost over 40 pounds! On a personal note, Hollie has 3 amazing children and, aside from working out, loves to hike, go to the dog park, and be at home.
